Entry-Level Administrative and Technical Support Position

Job Description

This is an entry-level position at a small art technology company.  We provide FileMaker-based software database solutions to art businesses.  Our clients include many of the most respected art galleries, artists, museums, art collections and foundations in the world. We support all of our clients remotely from our New York office. This position will provide technical support via phone and email to our clients and will have many administrative and organizational duties as well. 

Full-Time Starting Salary: $35,000
Monday - Friday, 10am-6pm
Health (+ Dental/Vision) insurance and retirement benefits provided after 3 months of employment

Responsibilities

  • Answering phones 
  • Resolving technical support issues via phone and email
  • Taking messages and scheduling advanced technician support appointments 
  • Resolving support issues via remote access to our clients 
  • Supporting the advanced techs when they need assistance
  • Administrative duties, including but not limited to: tracking client licensing, sending out pre-install documentation to clients and making sure they follow the instructions, collecting client data, entering mailing list data into our database, organizing supply closet, ordering office supplies

Qualifications

  • FileMaker fluency a major plus
  • Extremely comfortable communicating on the phone
  • Excellent written, verbal and technical communication skills
  • Computer savvy
  • Unlimited patience 
  • Customer service experience
  • Database experience a plus
  • Apple computer fluency
  • Clear speaking voice 
  • Good organizational skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Desire to learn
  • Must own a home computer
